On October 9, 2025, a Cook County jury found the Illinois Toll Highway Authority liable for a one vehicle crash in its construction zone on I-90 near the Fox River bridge. The jury found the Tollway liable for the negligent design of the temporary traffic zone and for the omission of 5 of 6 warning signs required by safety rules in advance of a sudden lane shift. Rob Rosá was rendered a quadriplegic in the crash. He and his husband Michael Johnson were awarded $104 Million. Tim Cavanagh and Mike Sorich partners in the firm were the lead trial lawyers for the plaintiffs. Jason Kroot and Chris Dietmann also represented the plaintiffs.
