Tim Cavanagh, founding partner of Cavanagh Sorich Law Group, has been named a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers (ISOB), an invitation-only organization that recognizes exceptional trial lawyers. Cavanagh will be formally inducted as a Fellow at the Society’s 2027 meeting in Italy.
The Society is dedicated to preserving trial by jury, the adversary system and an independent judiciary. Membership is limited to attorneys nominated by their peers and selected through a rigorous screening process that evaluates professional experience, trial ability, accomplishments and ethical standards. The organization also promotes collegiality among attorneys across all areas of practice to address issues affecting the legal profession.
Cavanagh founded Cavanagh Sorich Law Group in 1997. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into one of the Midwest’s leading personal injury law firms. During his career, Cavanagh has secured more than 100 verdicts and settlements exceeding $1 million on behalf of clients, including a $104.6 million verdict, a $55 million verdict, a $50 million settlement, a $27 million settlement and a $20 million settlement, to name a few.
Based in Chicago, the firm has earned recognition at the local, state, national and international levels for its advocacy and results. A respected leader in the legal community, Cavanagh recently completed a term as president of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
