On February 14, 2014, Tim Cavanagh obtained a $6.5 million verdict for the family of John Bruce against government contractor, CAV International.
Bruce, 64, was working for United Airlines at Al-Mubarak Air Force Base in Kuwait in 2009. A distracted employee of CAV International moved the belt loader that Bruce was working on, causing him to fall more than 12 feet to the tarmac. He sustained a significant brain injury and died six days later after being taken off life support.
