CHICAGO TRIBUNE: Car Crash Victim’s Family Files Lawsuit Against Oak Park Police Department

The family of a man who died of injuries as a result of a March 9 car crash has filed a lawsuit against the Oak Park Police Department, alleging police engaged in a “reckless and unnecessary” chase that led to the accident.

The lawsuit was filed by Cavanagh Sorich Law Group in the Circuit Court of Cook County by the family of Pierre Shelton, 30, who died March 17 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, about one week after the crash.
