CHICAGO DAILY LAW BULLETIN: Cook judge rules agains insurer

An insurance company is not entitled to reimbursement of the $2.5 million it paid 10 years ago in a settlement with a couple injured in a rollover limousine accident. Secura Supreme Insurance Company claimed a right of subrogation after a record $104.6 million jury verdict was entered in favor of Michael Johnson and Robert Rosa in October 2025 in a separate suit against the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority.
