Cavanagh Law Group partner Tim Cavanagh spoke to ABC 7 Chicago about the firm’s ongoing lawsuit in the November 2019 police shooting that left 15-year-old Rylan Wilder seriously injured. Rylan was shot by a Des Plaines officer chasing a suspect in Chicago.
“This was the officer’s own weapon, which raises questions of why is the Des Plaines police officer not in his jurisdiction using an AR-15?” Cavanagh said. “Why is he using a weapon of war outside his jurisdiction?”
