CHICAGO — Three Cavanagh Sorich Law Group partners were recently recognized as top plaintiff attorneys by leading Illinois and U.S. publications.
Founding partner Tim Cavanagh was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2020 edition of The Best Lawyers in America© in the field of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. He has been named to the prestigious list every year since 2015.
Attorneys recognized by Best Lawyers® are chosen solely by their peers and through a rigorous selection process. The goal is to capture “the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues,” the organization said.
Tim Cavanagh was also named to the 2019 Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers guide, alongside CSLG partner Stacey Feeley Cavanagh.
Cavanagh Sorich Law Group is one of only four law firms in Chicago to have more than one attorney on the list, which acknowledges lawyers across the U.S. based on verdicts, settlements and recommendations from legal peers. Tim Cavanagh was listed in the inaugural 2007 publication. This is the second edition.
Earlier this summer, Tim Cavanagh, Stacey Feeley Cavanagh and partner Michael Sorich were named 2019 Illinois Leading Lawyers — an honor shared by fewer than five percent of attorneys statewide. Lawyers are chosen by their peers and cannot nominate themselves or anyone at their own firm.

Tim Cavanagh has been named a Leading Lawyer every year since 2003. In 2019, he was recommended by his peers in three personal injury categories: general; professional malpractice; and transportation, including FELA and maritime. He is also an Advisory Board member for Leading Lawyers Illinois and was named one of the Top 100 Leading Consumer Lawyers in Illinois.
Stacey Feeley Cavanagh and Sorich were both recommended by their peers in the general personal injury law category. It’s Stacey Feeley Cavanagh’s fourth year on the Leading Lawyer list, and Sorich’s second.
