Kuk v. Metra

Passengers on a Metra train were injured when the train derailed in a railroad maintenance yard due to the train’s engineer missing a red stop light. Two locomotives and five passenger cars derailed at a speed of 68 mph, resulting in one Plaintiff suffering knee and lower back injuries. Cavanagh Sorich Law Group founding partner Tim Cavanagh obtained a $1.8 million settlement after a week of trial.
