CAVANAGH SORICH LAW GROUP FILES LAWSUIT AFTER FATAL CRASH ON I-290

On Thursday, August 4 at 10:30 am, Tim Cavanagh and Mike Sorich held a press conference with their client Colleen Muff and announced the filing of a lawsuit against driver, Nikola Isakovic, and Baffi LLC, DBA Motorcar Solutions. The lawsuit was precipitated by a deadly crash that killed Colleen’s parent on July 16, 2016. Immediately following the press conference, Mr. Cavanagh filed an Emergency Motion for a Protective Order to preserve the evidence before Judge James O’Hara in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Judge O’Hara granted the Motion and ordered all evidence, including the three vehicles and evidence held by the Illinois State Police to be preserved, and that Cavanagh Sorich Law Group be granted access to inspect the evidence with their experts within twenty-one (21) days.

About the Crash

Colleen Muff and her parents, Robert and Norine Fridlund, were traveling to a graduation celebration on I-290 east of North Avenue near Elmhurst, when the driver of an Acura crashed into the back of Muff’s car, pushing her vehicle underneath the trailer of a semi-truck. Muff was injured and her parents were killed.

The suit alleges that the driver was driving recklessly, speeding, and violating various traffic laws when the crash occurred.
